Upstream - A new project to prevent Child Sexual Abuse in Scotland
A new resource called Upstream, which will enable adults and communities to prevent child sexual abuse, has been developed by the charity Stop It Now! Scotland, with support from the Scottish Government.
The charity believes that the key to preventing sexual abuse lies in raising awareness among parents and members of the community. Abuse, whether online or in person, could include looking at child abuse images online or grooming a young person and the charity works with people who have committed offences against children or those having thoughts about doing so.
This resource is designed to offer advice and support, to enable care professionals and members of the public to prevent child sexual abuse when they suspect that a child is vulnerable. It offers the tools to learn about, identify, prevent, and act upon child sexual abuse.
