Recruiting: Director of CELCIS

Earlier in 2021 we announced Jennifer Davidson would be stepping down as Executive Director of CELCIS to continue her work with the Institute for Inspiring Children’s Futures at the University of Strathclyde.

We are now recruiting to fill CELCIS’s Director position on a permanent basis.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of leading change to meet the needs of children and young people, their families and carers as Scotland works to keep The Promise of the Independent Care Review.

As an internationally-recognised, leading improvement and innovation centre based in Scotland, our Director provides strategic leadership, and extensive experience to influence the cultural, structural and practice changes needed on a scale that can improve the lives of all children and young people in need of care and protection, and their families and carers; ensuring that the voice, engagement and participation of those with lived experience is central to this.

A senior position, our Director holds overall responsibility for the financial and operational management of CELCIS, and works closely with government, local authorities, voluntary sector partners and a range of national and international bodies, to shape effective policy, systems, services and practice to achieve better outcomes for children.
