Our first Education Forum meeting of 2021 was held online in March with the theme of ‘Widening Participation and Access to Further and Higher Education’.
We were joined by Lorraine Moore from the Hub for Success and Catherine McCormack from Edinburgh College who helped us reflect on the barriers and opportunities that care experienced people can encounter when applying to, or attending, college or university. It was great to see so many long standing Forum members in attendance, as well as being able to extend a warm welcome to new members.
We also had the opportunity to spend some time in breakout rooms discussing examples of good and promising practice in this area that members are aware of. We have made the discussion boards ('Jamboards') available below.
