This consultation response provides feedback on ‘refreshed’ GIRFEC practice guidance materials about the Named Person, Lead Professional, using the National Practice Model, and Information Sharing.

We suggest areas in which the guidance materials could be strengthened and clarified in order to ensure an effective preventative approach to supporting children and families is facilitated.

We also highlight the importance of attention to the effective implementation of guidance to ensure practice change.
