CELCIS has submitted a response to the Scottish Parliament’s Education, Children and Young People Committee’s call for views on the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Bill (the Bill). This short response focuses on Sections 24 and 25 of Part 3 of the Bill, relating to the regulation of care services that provide residential accommodation to children, as well as to cross border placements and the effects of orders made outwith Scotland.
