National Guidance For Child Protection Committees Undertaking Learning Reviews

Year: 2021
Topic: Child protection
Author: Scottish Government

The Scottish Government has published new Learning Review Guidance following a review of its approach to learning from child protection cases. This replaces guidance on conducting Significant Case Reviews published in 2015.

The guidance aims to support Child Protection Committees to reflect, learn and improve child protection systems and practice when a child or young person dies, is significantly harmed, or was at risk of death or significant harm; or where effective practice has prevented harm or risk of harm.
