In this interview, Ashley John-Baptiste, a BBC broadcast journalist and presenter who has experience of care, is interviewed by freelance journalist Richard Baynes for REACH.

Ashley talks about his early life, his care experience, going on to study at one of the world’s best universities, and shares his views on the stigma that some young people face and what can done about it.

Ashley was part of boy band ‘The Risk’, quitting during The X Factor live finals before pursuing a career in broadcast journalism, for which he has been nominated for a Royal Television Society Award.
