Research which explores the impact of allegations against foster carers (in England) which are closed as unproven.

The report finds the main impact on carers and their families was emotional and financial. Most carers were upset by the allegations and also by the treatment they were given. Lack of information about the allegation, the investigation process and support they were entitled to led to confusion, destruction of confidence and dismay.
