This survey was carried out in June 2020 with partners, The University of Strathclyde and The centre for Youth and Criminal Justice.

Its task was to understand the views and experiences of people who participated in, or wanted to participate in, a Children's Hearing in Scotland during COVID-19.

The survey sought opinions and views from young people over the age of 12, families, panel members, social workers, safeguarders, reporters, solicitors, advocacy workers, and anyone else involved.

The survey participants were divided into two groups: Those aged between 12-17 years old, and those aged 18 and over. Special information sheets were provided explaining the purpose and requirements of the survey and providing details of agencies who could help answer any questions. These information sheets are below.

The information and feedback provided will be used to assist in improving everybody's experiences of hearings. The results of the survey are due to be available at the end of July 2020.

The survey reports will be available here when published at the end of July 2020
