Developing a National Mentoring Scheme for Looked After Children

Year: 2013

The Scottish Government invited Dr Susan Elsley to consider the viability of a national mentoring scheme for looked after children and young people.

The original concept was for a national scheme that would provide longer term mentoring relationships to looked after children and young people, with volunteers taking on the mentoring role.

This report presents the conclusions of that assessment, and summarises the accompanying discussions of the Looked After Children Strategic Implementation Group’s (LACSIG) Mentoring Hub.
