CELCIS has responded to a Scottish Parliament Committee's call for views on draft amendments for the National Care Service (NCS) (Scotland) Bill (Stage 2).

We have expressed concern that the proposed amendments to this Bill have not addressed the lack of detail within the Bill’s measures, alongside concerns about the delayed decision-making about the inclusion of children’s services in the NCS.

A National Social Work Agency (NSWA) is supported by CELCIS as well as the Bill’s proposal to place the role and office of the National Chief Social Work Adviser on a statutory footing.
