The Scottish Government findings from a public consultation on the extension of the higher age limit for eligibility for continuing care from 19 to 20 years of age from 1 April 2018.

No adjustments have been requested or made to the draft order which will enable young people who turn 16, but have not yet reached the age of 20 while in residential, foster or kinship care, to remain in their current care setting ('continuing care') after they cease to be formally looked after by the local authority.

We submitted a response to this consultation.
